It’s our second day in “God’s gift to America” and frankly we’re surprised that it took us over 24 hours to find our way to a real Lone Star house of brisket. But rest assured, the Salt Lick in Driftwood, TX made it worth the wait. We decided that the most economical way to dive into their menu was to order bulk meat and beans by the pound. We ended up eating roughly 4/5 of a pound each and are now currently in protein-induced comas here in Austin. It’s entirely possible that CPR could become part of our performance tonight at the Ghost Room.
